• We are thrilled to announce that Pastor Lobb and his family have officially accepted the call to be our new lead pastor! Everyone is still trying to iron out the details with the transition, so stay tuned! We will share more information as soon as it becomes available.
• Today the Teens (completed 6th grade-12th grade) are having a pool party! They will leave the church at 5:15 PM.
• Next Sunday, August 17th CYM will be going to the Iowa State Fair to see defining Christian artist Rebecca St. James.
• We will be hosting a Life Line Screening event on Friday, August 22nd, 2025. Life Line Screening is the premier provider of stroke and cardiovascular disease risk screenings since 1993. They are extending a discounted offer to everyone who attends Lighthouse Church. Please see the flier in the foyer or your email for more information.
• Family Fun Night will be Sunday, August 31st at 6:00 PM! Invite all of your friends and family to come celebrate Labor Day and the back-to-school season with us with fun on the inflatables, yard games, and yummy food. We will be serving hot dogs and hamburgers, and we kindly ask that everyone bring their favorite side dish or dessert to share! Because of Family Fun Night, we will not have a September Sunday Funday on September 7th.
• The ladies in Tava Hoffman’s Wednesday evening Bible study warmly invite women of all ages to join them on Wednesday nights from 7:00–8:00 PM. They recently completed the study “Becoming a Titus 2 Woman” and, for the next few weeks, will enjoy a more relaxed time of daily devotional reflections and prayer. Once the school year begins, they’ll dive into a new Book of the Bible (to be decided together). It’s a welcoming space for encouragement, connection, and spiritual growth. Come as you are — we’d love to have you with us!
• We are just under a year away from Nazarene Youth Conference 2026 (NYC26)! This is a global youth conference held in Salt Lake City, Utah next summer. Many are already interested in going and it is open to all going to be 7th-12th graders. One way you can support this trip financially is to find the binder in the foyer that has slots numbered 1-100. When you have spare cash around or if you want to write a check, just remove the card and fill the spot with the corresponding amount of money. Take the card as a reminder to pray for the trip. Thank you for your support and if you have any questions, see Pastor Jordan or any youth leader!
